Christmas in January

There were hundreds of products given away today at The Boom Boom Room’s Baby and Big Kid Style Villa, a Golden Globes gifting suite for Babies and famous Moms/Dads. My two favorite things I would never ever have known existed? The Fairy-oke Wings (pronounced like Karaoke, with an “f’), pink plastic wings with an attached mic and preloaded jukebox favorites ….and a “Time Out Mat” for rambunctious Chimp-like children…and even dogs.

In LA, temples aren’t big enough to contain the 9000% attendance belch of the bi-annual High Holidays. To compensate, temples rent out hotel ballrooms..no joke. We atoned at the famed Century Plaza on Yom Kippur last year, and today in the same holy place, celebrities with babies came to pick up a divine bounty - 50-70lbs each of free stuff. The gifting rule of thumb stating you must leave lugging 3X your child’s weight was enforced strictly by security.

Sidenote: There's a crease in the flier from being in my pocket... its not someone doodling in a slit in the kid's throat. BTW, I think it would be a good idea to create a "Time Out Cage" in bars, and as a plea bargain to bouncers automatically manhandling someone out the door, they throw them in there first for 30 minutes to see if they "come around".

Jason Davis, “big” brother of firecrotch toastmaster Brandon Davis came to the Mommy/Baby gifting suite because…uh…not sure. He did have a gold RAZR, indoor sunglasses, and untied shoes…to which he said “Tie my shoe” and propped it up on his buddy (hat guy) while a photographer tied it for him. Very befitting of an oil heir.

It wasn’t without heart though….the event benefited EBMRF, the nonprofit Epidermolysis Bullosa foundation created and honcho’d by Brillstein-Grey bluechipper Andrea Pett Joseph and her husband Paul.
