Elliot Yamin and Jewfro Celebrates 96,000 Records Sold

Elliot Yamin (American Idol '06, Jewfro '07, Camp Young Judaea 'honorary) celebrated his album's release, at fresh dive bar hotspot Winston's last night (3.27.07). 150 "close friends and family" packed shoulder to shoulder "Austin-style" for a 5 song set. Elliot closed with a good cover of "Roxanne" by The Police, on the same night that Chris Sligh (American Idol '06, Irish-fro '07) stumbled through his version of another Police classic "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic".

Monet Corso (Mater Dei H.S. '98, MTV '99, Three Ring Projects '07) told us that he surprised everyone by selling 96,000 albums the first week and is #3 on the charts. Elliot told us he is too busy to watch this season of Idol, but that our hotly contested A.I. office pool was a good idea because "obviously, I'm a big fan too."

Special LA Appearance by Kirk Bedell (Deerfield '94, Trinity '98) above.

Thanks to Monet for hosting a great party, celebrating a birthday, creating a top 10 artist, and taking good care of us.
