Deerfield Walks the Catwalk on "Project Runway"
Marcia Mitchell (Deerfield '01, Tufts '05) debuted as one of the new models on Bravo's smash fashion designer competition, Project Runway, last night. (Thurs, 11.15).Marcia consistently mentions D.A. in her press, saying she credits Deerfield for "giving her the steely reserve required to make it in the fashion industry."
Marcia, welcome to the newest Deerfield extra-curricular: Hit TV Show Club. Other members? The Deerfield duo killing it as adversaries on LOST, Nestor Carbonell (Deerfield '86, CBS's Cane 'current) and Matthew Fox (Deerfield '85, Party of Five '98). Coincidentally, they also worked together on "Smoking Aces".

Thanks for confirming this - I was pretty sure it was her but wasn't 100% - pretty cool indeed. Sorry you're not getting any love in L.A. - that's no good at all. I miss DA but the photography business is treating me well and I'm happier working for myself. Hope you're doing well.
