Please enjoy the latest piece I wrote for the LA Times’ METROMIX - “Dive Bar Chemistry”.

I visited legendary LA dive bars to perform pseudo-scientific experiments on their cocktails, looking for the strongest, cheapest, coldest, and blowing in to a breathalyzer to quality check each drink etc.

It published today over here, and based on the results, they just commissioned “Hangover Chemistry”, a follow up piece. If anyone wants to come on the “field tests”, there are always openings for “lab assistants”.

Thanks for the congratulatory shout out from striking writer Nora Zuckerman (Deerfield '94, USC Film School '98), who checked in from the picket line in front of the Fox lot.
