Save the Music

Showing leadership equal to Captain Jack Sparrow, Tom Tancred successfully produced a rapid-response public campaign: “Save the Karaoke Booze Cruise”. You may recall this kitsch-niche of LA nightlife operating out of Marina Del Rey as the "Lake Pallenpaupak Princess" from NBC’s “The Office”.Tom (Governor Livingston H.S. (NJ) ’97, Emerson ’02, VH1’s “Man Band” ‘current) showed his Sharpton to effect meaningful change. Campaign Manager Maggie Jaynes (Emerson ’02, Fox Animation ‘current) drank doubles in honor of the “stay of execution cruise” that sailed Thursday, July 26.

The call to action reached the ears of the celebu-sphere. Network star Golden Brooks (Berkeley, Sarah Lawrence Masters, WB’s “Girlfriends” ‘current) supported via song and dance.

Join the network of concerned and thirsty citizens for future causes. Contact Tom’s campaign HQ here.

US Swedish Relations Cemented in Historic Ricci/Svennson Accords

Following the historic international impact of Max Ricci (Moses Brown '94, BC '98) and Sara Svennson's (Malmo H.S. (Sweden) '98) uniting of two cultures, there are rumors circulating that US Ambassador Wood is on his way out. At least the Nobel Prize is a lock for next year, as they celebrated at the Grand Hotel, site of the Nobel Prize winners' banquet each year. Their banquet trumped it.

Boston's Black Book

(click to enlarge and clarify the doodles)

Although a bit expired, TheCHIMP.net's recent Boston field trip uncovered a more bashful side of one of our own.

Boston Common magazine chose Steven Frumin (Northeastern '94) as one of the 86 most (???) singles who belong in a figurative "Black Book" for the city. Squished into a steaming orgy of local news babes and Harvard country club lawyers, the rag characterized him with 4 cartoon doodles:
  • Hot apple pie -- means "Can take home to mama" (True)
  • Baseball Hat -- means "Sporty" (uhhh...not so much)
  • Funnel --means ...self explanatory (True)
  • Martini Glass: -- means "Bon Vivant - which we think means "double funnel, but in a brooks brothers frequent buyers party kind of way too"
Just one question: Was there speed dating at the magazine issue release party? Need a date? Email the bachelor here
