Scarlett LG TV's - New Hangover Remedy at Pacific Design Center

Dusty, tired, and road weary, the official Coachella after-party for Hollywood came Monday night (28 Apr) at the Pacific Design Center, for the premiere of LG's Scarlet TV series.
Tamie Sheffield (Maxim Hottie '05, Producer'current) and Finland's top design export Haydie Selene (2X Boutiques on Melrose 'current) model the DJ booth.

Wolfgang Puck buffets, a great roof, and free HD TVs for the myriad Maddens, Hiltons, Lohan, Hills'ers, Wilmer's, John Hensely's and our third DJ Steve Aoki set in 3 days. A Monday that should have sucked but didnt.

If you're not in to big free expensive HD's, there are worse ways to crack the crust out of your life on the Monday after Coachella.

Coachella: DJ AM, Aoki, and Masterson at T-Mobile Def Tone Party

After 87 bands & DJ's on Saturday at Coachella (26 Apr), DJ AM, Steve Aoki and DannyMasterson gave everyone's favorite performance of the weekend -- a DJ symphony at the T-Mobile Def Tone After Party.Click photo to enlarge

It's not a real party weekend unless T-Mobile & Brent Bolthouse can adequately strain out the glitteratti from an otherwise mass market demographic.

A sketchy drive through miles of flat dust to a hushed private airport, and a tucked away hangar concealed this desert oasis. The DJ symphony, pioneered with Nicole Khristine's Jewelry event in February, continues to not suck.

Coachella Introduces the 2 Lamest Fads

The world famous Coachella Festival (White Stripes '03, Prince '08) introduced tons of breakout new bands and DJ's (good), and the 2 annoying fashion fads poised to dominate that other big event coming soon: summer.
Skinny headbands and gladiator sandals are the new trucker hats...even for some model dude-bros.

The sample of 125,000 hipster Los Angeles partygoers test driving their summer wardrobe can't be wrong. In 2012, photos will be laughed at.

Big high fives and no headbands for Carol & Imeem for taking care of us for the show!!

April Showers bring Catt Sadler April/May Issue "Flowers"

LA Based Genlux Magazine annointed Catt Sadler (E!'s Daily 10'current) as "Flower Girl" in their April/May issue.
I didn't know which Catt to look at. So Catt pointed at p.34, and said "look".

While we're not sure if you get a crown and sash for that, it does come with a sick 10 page fashion spread, exactly 6.25% of the entire magazine.... and a cool party at Trina Turk (Thursday, 24 Apr)

It was an unchimp-like high fashion crowd. Thankfully old pal, celebrity female DJ Casey Connor (Maxim House DJ '08) was the couture musician and we could sneak in to her booth. The Mag will be on stands until around Memorial Day.

Really big in Asia

Melissa Rappaport (Rapparound PRC 'current), Brian Tee (The Fast and the Furious '06) and J.J.(Mega Superstar in Korea 'current). While anonymous even at a pr event, JJ set off a flashbulb tidalwave when stopping by LA's Koreatown, earlier in the day.

Fred Segal Fun hosted a party for a T-shirt line with words on them. They are totally less funny than these. But Kim and Khloe Kardashian (E! Show 'current) showed up first (*natch*, and left first), and Svedka poured tons of free cocktails so it was great...for a Tuesday...in Santa Monica. (22 Apr)

Entertainment media favorites Jill Wilderman (ET '06, Young Hollywood'current) and Michelle Marie (Young Hollywood'current) showed off their new Young Hollywood line of baseball hats...to make you go broke:$80/per. Appropriately on sale only at cool places, like Fred Segal Fun.

Hallelujah! Billy Graham Biopic Features Familiar Faces

Congrats (and good luck) to our friend Armie Hammer (Rumored to be Batman '09) who is competing with Miley Cyrus for dominance of the blossoming Tennessee film production scene right now. While shooting the Billy Graham biopic, "Billy: The Early Years" in Lebanon, Tennessee on Sunday (20 Apr), Armie welcomed his dude-bro to the spotlight: The official LA Best New Artist of the year, Tyler Ramsey (SMU '96).

For the avoidance of doubt, those Miley Cyrus extras you see around town are subject to child labor laws.

Sneak Preview: Kitchen24

Mel's Diner for the cool kids is coming soon:
Yeah, yeah, yeah..."LA sucks...everything ends at 2AM". When Kitchen24 opens its doors to the public next month, they will never close. With a proverbial glowing net open 24 hours a day to catch the crowd flowing across Cahuenga from flavor of the seasonTM hotspot Goa, consider the night...extended.

Proprietress Kim Roussell (Cinespace '02, pictured above) welcomed select friends and choice tastemakers to a sneak preview on Saturday (12 Apr). With nightlife legal eagle J.T. Fox (Dolce Group '03, Central '07, Beso '08) on board as well, we will work out double in anticipation of unnecessary late night binging. Also coming soon: stale morning burps.

Inside American Idol Gives Back - What You Won't See on TV

A CHIMP.net snitch sent us these missives from inside the "live show" of "Idol Gives Back" tonight (Wed 9 Apr) even though 99% of the show taped 3 days ago on Sunday night.
  • The judges aren't here. (Exec Producer) Nigel Lithgow is on stage trying to rile up the crowd. Trying to make us clap when we r not even on tv.
  • Also he told us in the first minute of the phones being open, they received 3000 calls.
  • The idols are "answering calls" but literally pick up phone when camera is on and phone down when its off. They r faking the whole thing laaaaame.
  • Oops, I guess they r really talking to people on phone.
Some joke about all of the idols rehearsing for life after A.I. by "answering phones" would be appropriate here, but instead we'll add these pretty photos of Ryan and Simon posing with kids who have no idea who they are. Even if they had a local TV, which they dont, they would get the African version of the show where all 3 judges look like Randy Jackson.

NBC Sets up Shira Lazar and Mo Rocca on Saturday Night Date

Was that *pop* you just heard Cris Abrego (Co Worker'98, Creator of all VH1 celeb Reality' '03-current) puckering up to a $200,000,000 bottle of Moet to manifest his recent "liquidity event"?

Nope, it's a friend getting further in to TV...not selling out.

Congrats to Shira. Our fellow behind the rope party snitch and blogging buddy Shira Lazar (Fox News' Red Eye 'current) told us "I am now part of the NBC family". NBC annointed her the host for 2 (yes, two) new NBC TV shows. Both fly under the LX.tv banner.

She shares the mic with funny man Mo Rocca (The Daily Show '05). One show focuses on house hunting, and the second on all the cool hotspots you can no longer afford because you did so well house hunting. Check them out as they premiere this Saturday (5 Apr).
