Rumor had it at some of the early gifting suites this week that the producers of Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards were trying to recruit the brand backstage to encourage performing talent to actually show up to the rehearsals for the show (Tapes:August 9 at the Gibson)

Update: Rumor true.  Backstage spy says lots of goodies going home with the stars..but some trying to match to their outfits. (See Jordin Sparks, above). Other new shoes kids: the hosts (Jonas Brothers), Jordana Brewster, Twilight trio Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, & Ashley Greene, and some requesting junior sizes (like Jennette McCurdy, Abigail Breslin)
