T-Mobile G1 Tone Def Party @ Coachella

T-Mobile celebrated Coachella and their G1 phone with the 2nd annual “Tone Def” after party in an airplane hangar near the Coachella grounds on Saturday night (18 April).  Even though its only April, this is likely to win “most fun event of the year“, just like the 2008 edition.  Tweeted the numerous Sightings on site…now the photos.

11 Celebrities Who Disappeared in 2008

At the table:  7 of the most influential Hollywood party personalities - those whose job it is to attend events every night, write about them in the gossip media, publicists/event producers who create them, and our favorite select members on everyone’s “list”.

Today’s Question:
Which celebrities most disappeared from the party scene (appearances, hosting, being seen etc) this year?

Nicole Richie used to be everywhere really and disappeared in ‘08 with motherhood and a lack of a career to promote. Even when she is at an event, she hides and doesn’t do interviews. She is like the lost Olsen twin or something, these days. Lohan took a break from the scene too, but I don’t think that was by choice.

I think that Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan and Kim Stewart dropped off a bit

Jack Osbourne, James Blunt, Benjamin McKenzie, Jared Leto, Elisha Cuthbert

Tara Reid

There are always celebrities who fall off due to rehab, marriage, boyfriends/girlfriends or a change of career. I think I have most noticed that Kim Stewart, Kristin Cavalleri, and Tara Reid the most, since for a time they were at everything.

Haven’t seen Paris Hilton around as much in the past few months, and Britney Spears hasn’t come around since that whole “It’s Britney, bitch. I’m getting my life back together” thing that she is doing.

Top 17 Hollywod Parties of 2008

We’re back for the 2nd annual “End of Year” party panel.

Who: 7 of the most influential Hollywood party personalities - those whose job it is to attend events every night, write about them in the gossip media, publicists/event producers who create them, and our favorite select members of everyone’s “list”.

Today’s Question:
What was the most surprisingly fun entertainment marketing event or party you went to this year?

Michelle Marie

The most amazing event I went to this year was Donald Trump and Nakheel’s Trump International event, celebrating the new Trump Towers in Dubai. This was held at a private estate in Beverly Hills. Christina Aguilera gave an amazing performance—and the food and décor was insane!

The event brought out stars ranging from Orlando Bloom and Hillary Swank to Hayden Panettiere and Pete Wentz. The best part of the night was that everyone who attended the event (at least 1000 people) walked away with a gift bag that included an IPod Touch!!

If we are staying local I would say the Pre-ESPY Party at the Playboy Mansion, the PUR Jeans Halloween party at STK (pictured below) and the Comedy Central Emmy After Party also at STK were all surprisingly good - but that may have more to do with the crowd and open bar than the stories that came out of it.

Leaving LA, the Justin Timberlake Shriners’ Hospital weekend in Las Vegas and the Victoria’s Secret Weekend at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach were both amazing.

Does the T-Mobile Party at Coachella count? Didn’t know what to expect, but definitely had the best time. Wasn’t even supposed to be there. Drove through a desolate scary dark roadway for 20 minutes, drove on to an actual airport runway area, had a pilot oddly welcome me in to a secret pilot’s lounge and I thought I was secretly being detained for trespassing or drunkeness and I wasn’t either.

I guess it counts as an entertainment marketing event since ALL of Hollywood was there, and we were in VIP. DJ AM, Steve Aoki, and Danny Masterson all spun together.

(MTV’s) VMA weekend—-didn’t think it would be fun considering it was in LA but there ended up being some great events—  Style Villa at Thompson Hotel, Lil Wayne party, Nelly Hooper’s dinner at the Chateau,…

Sitting front row at the In Touch party at Chateau with performances by Leona Lewis and Good Charlotte and then finishing things up at the Tom Tom Club till 4am Tokio Hotel, Akon, Prince etc…..

I must admit the Grand Opening of Galpin Auto Sports was one party for the books. I didn’t have any huge expectations but once the party got started, I knew it was going to be a magical night. I mean when do you get a chance to watch Ozzy Osboourne, Dave Navarro, Slash, Billy Morrison, MAcy Gray, Mark McGrath, XZibit, and Cypress Hill sharing one stage!? It was a very intimate space so it was like having a concert of the year in your own living room.

This past November, the Hard Rock Hotel hosted a charity event called “Fight Night” that paired at least ten VIP hosts from nightclubs all over Las Vegas for a full on legitimate boxing match. They made The Joint look more like the Grand Garden Arena, complete with trussed lighting hanging over a boxing ring, and actually had all of the fighters register as amateur boxers. It was crazy. The best part was seeing good friends get the living hell knocked out of them. For a good cause, of course!
