It’s good news! I’m a draft pick…Sharon Waxman’s (NY Times, Washington Post) Hollywood news outlet TheWRAP.com has tapped me to temporarily step in and take over the popular “Hollywood Party Report” column. (Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz funds the venture, and thus I’ll be making “starbucks money“.)

Took only 6 minutes end to end to pick up my winning tickets at Dodger Stadium to the Michael Jackson Memorial Service tomorrow (Tues 7 July).  Organized! Easy! Never had to get out of the car.

For the first and only daughter’s birthday, we were happy that RappAround PRC was tapped to produce an elite “family” goodie bag.

The 130 lucky guests at the Ladybug themed party at a private residence mansion in Encino on Saturday (6 June) received goodie bags worth $2512.00.

Guests received lifetime complimentary visits to hot Australia fro-yo chain “House of Hew” which arrives stateside in LA in 2010, products from Market, Lenora Dame, Bliss and Bed Head, personal family photography sessions anywhere in the USA from Leshem Loft, and the uber popular Wonder Pet doll “Ming Ming” from Nickelodeon.

The celeb mom blogosphere was all over it.

50 Cent became famous when he encouraged everyone to “party like its thier birthday” on “In Da Club”. On Jim Carrey’s 47th (Sat 17 Jan), he jumped up on stage at the Vitamin Water 50 Cent Sundance House to surprise the crowd of 150 lucky invitees.

MySpace is a place for friends. The MySpace Cafe at Sundance is my best friend. A private, invite-only diner provides complimentary meals round the clock in the middle of everything, and this morning it provided a highlight and a low light.

Highlight: Ben Affleck (Cambridge Rindge and Latin School ‘91, Oscar ‘98) ate in the next booth with two agent looking types. (He gets his own side of the booth)

Semi Lowlight: A young boston filmmaker on the other side of us awkwardly rushed Ben to hand him his Boston Based indie movie on a DVD as he was trying to leave. Cell phone photo below.

How awesome is this after last night?

The Vitamin Water house is an amazing expanse. The rumor going around at the ICM party last night (Fri 16 Jan) was that Vitamin Water bought the house for 50. Not true we’re told.

Then it was off to the cosier, improved location for all the familiar faces of “TAO at Sundance”. This year it’s at the lift for after hours.
