Back, Back, Back for Raving Rabbids @ Apple Lounge

Of the many catch phrases E!'s "The Soup" host Joel McHale (Mercer Island H.S. - WA '90, Univ. of Washington '95) has coined, the one that came to mind here was his weekly rant on fellow E! star Kim Kardashian.
He never says her name alone. Always "Kim Kardashian who is known for having a big ass and a sex tape...". The Kardashian trio hosted Ubisoft's game launch party for "Raving Rabbids" in a secret back compartment of Apple Lounge last night (Tue 9 Dec).

Similar to Dance Dance Revolution, you compete against three other players to pull off dance moves with the Nintendo wii-motes. One snicker inducing move mandates you to smack your own ass. Which made the quote topical.
And to that end....in a bit of genius stunt casting pr, we saw Vida Guerra (Cuba '74, FHM's Sexiest Females'05) also test drive the game on its release day. For the all of us who don't read DUB magazine, you might not know that she is famous for only one of the two things that Kim is.
EFG's Angela Jones (Star Magazine '06, pictured left) won our publicists' intramural game.
Is your butt too small to target it quickly while playing? Luckily there was a surprising buffet of full pizzas and other non Hollywood-esque carbs so you could quickly bulk up your... game play.
Thanks for EFG and Getty/Film Magic for the pixels.

Kim Kardashian Make-A-Wish Miami

A Miami Beach tipster sends in this report:
Kim Kardashian (E! 'current)hosted the South Florida Make-A-Wish Ball at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami on Saturday (8 Nov). While encouraging bidders to pony up for luxuries like a 2009 Aston Martin, she had a harder time drumming up support for the chance to sit with her in a suite at a future New Orleans Saints game - her BF Reggie Bush plays there.

Sometimes stories can be distorted, we’ll report this out of context quote verbatim:
Kim: “Come on, come sit in my box, it will be fun!!” Kim then sold the clothes off her back– putting up her Catharine Malandrino dress.
Other Things We Couldn’t Have Afforded to Bid On:
· A walk on role on Entourage [Courtesy of the night’s bandleader Adrien Grenier (La Guardia H.S. – NY ’94, Smoke Jumpers ’09)]
· A party for 500 people at South Beach’s enduringly popular Mansion
The philanthropists raised $1,550,000 in one night, enough to grant wishes for 3-400 kids, or pick up the tab for that party at Mansion.
Congrats to the Make a Wish Mafia: C.M., Shareef Malnik, and Michael Capponi.

One Sunset Turns One with a Celebrity Circus

Now that it's October, Olympians taste like stale Borat. Thus, Boston based USA Gymnastics champ Alicia Sacramone (Winchester H.S. - MA '06, Brown '10) turning up at One Sunset's 1st Birthday party last night (Thurs 3 October) raised a few question marks.
Remember her fling with Red Sox shortstop Jed Lowrie (Stanford '05), reported last month by Boston gossip royalty, the Inside Track? Who is in L.A. playing against the Angels in the playoffs? Related? (See, there are a lot of question marks.)
She might have been copying fellow party goer Lauren Conrad, who made it safe to date a baseball player earlier this year. As for Alicia, TMZ didn't harass her, as much as confuse her. (click the image above) While most celebrities hide or do a "walk and talk" at best, Alicia acted like a street reporter waiting for a cue, standing on her mark and patiently waiting for the camera man to light her and begin the sidewalk press conference. Weird.
The theme party itself - the Moulin Rouge goes to a dollhouse circus on uppers - rocked. A killer candy bar, David Arquette, unlimited bar, two life size Raggedy Anns having a pillow fight with cotton candy and two Dancing with the Stars stars- Kim Kardashian and Lance Bass.
Congrats to FoTCn Emily Olsen and the One Group (STK, Coco DeVille, Tenjune) on blowing out a candle, a milestone that few LA hotspots achieve.
